Lucas County business taxpayers have until Monday to file business personal property tax returns or an extension of time, Lucas County Auditor Larry Kaczala said.
All tax returns and extension requests postmarked May 1 or earlier will be accepted as filed on time. The online extension request will be open until midnight on Monday.
Business owners are encouraged to review the major tax changes that occurred with the passage of House Bill 66, including the removal of filing requirements for taxpayers with a total listed value of $10,000 or less.
With the drop in the listing percentage comes a drop in the number of business that are actually required to file a return, the auditor's office said.
