Two men were arrested yesterday after police said they stole a pickup from the parking lot of a South Toledo restaurant and broke into several vehicles at two area parks.
Jason George, 26, of Maumee and Todd Zarick, 41, who had addresses on Glenton and Roberta drives, each were charged with three counts of receiving stolen property. Mr. George also was charged with one count of grand theft auto.
Both men were being held in the Lucas County jail pending arraignment today in Toledo Municipal Court.
The suspects are accused of stealing a pickup from the parking lot of Dolly and Joe s Restaurant on South Reynolds Road and driving to Wildwood Metropark and Walbridge Park, where they allegedly broke into vehicles and took items such as purses and credit cards.
The men were arrested at the restaurant about 1 p.m. by officers who spotted the stolen pickup.
