EMS crew to be honored for saving life of girl, 4

HARROD, Ohio The Harrod Emergency Medical Services will be recognized in two presentations next week for its role in saving the life of a 4-year-old girl who nearly drowned on July 7.

Lima Memorial Health System will recognize Harrod s EMS on Monday at its annual banquet honoring area emergency workers from a nine-county region.

The department will be given the EMS Star of Life on Tuesday in Columbus in a presentation by the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians as part of National EMS Week.

The awards will honor Harrod EMS personnel Sandra Webb, Kelly Heise, Annie Rumer, Robert Piehl, Rick Philips, and Shannon Rumer.
