McCLURE, Ohio - A Napoleon woman was killed yesterday when the car in which she was riding was hit by a truck on U.S. 6 at State Rt. 109 in Henry County's Harrison Township west of McClure, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
Eva Gonzales, 47, was taken to Henry County Hospital, Napoleon, where she was pronounced dead, troopers at the patrol's Defiance post said.
She was in a car being driven eastbound on U.S. 6 by Matthew Gonzales, 16, of Napoleon, about 10:40 a.m. when he slowed to turn south onto Route 109 and was hit from behind by the truck being driven by Clint Towne, 45, of Bryan.
The collision spun the car, and it was briefly lodged under a trailer the truck was pulling, troopers said.
Mr. Gonzales and Mr. Towne were treated at Henry County Hospital.
