METAMORA, Ohio A Maumee man was killed and two others were injured last night after a two-vehicle accident in Amboy Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
Michael Nitschke, 58, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers with the Toledo post said Mr. Nitschke was driving his truck northbound on Fulton County Road 4-3 at 8:40 p.m. when he failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with a van driven by Charles Fulwider, 54, of Toledo.
Mr. Fulwider, who was eastbound on County Road S, was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, where he was listed in serious condition this morning. His passenger, Nancy Fulwider, 53, was in good condition at the same hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
