METAMORA, Ohio - A Maumee man was killed and two Toledoans were hurt Sunday night in a two-vehicle collision in northeastern Fulton County's Amboy Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
Michael Nitschke, 58, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers at the patrol's Toledo post said.
Mr. Nitschke was driving a truck north on Fulton County Road 4-3 about 8:40 p.m. when he failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with a van driven by Charles Fulwider, 54, of Toledo, troopers said.
Mr. Fulwider, who was eastbound on County Road S, was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, where he was in serious condition last night. His passenger, Nancy Fulwider, 53, was in good condition in the same hospital.
