Motorcyclist hurt critically in crash

McCLURE, Ohio - A 57-year-old McClure man was hurt seriously yesterday when his motorcycle and a car collided on Henry County Road N and Henry County Road 3A just southeast of here in Damascus Township, the sheriff's office said

James L. Niceley, who was not wearing a helmet and was thrown from the motorcycle, was flown to University Medical Center, Toledo, where he was in critical condition.

Mr. Niceley was westbound on Road N about 12:50 p.m. when a car being driven south on Road 3A by Mary L. Sanchez, 33, of McClure, pulled into the intersection in front of Mr. Niceley after stopping at a stop sign, sheriff's deputies said. Ms. Sanchez, who told deputies she did not see Mr. Niceley, was cited for failure to yield.
