A Lambertville woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident yesterday morning on Stickney Avenue in Washington Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
Eva Louise McCarty, 45, was transported to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, where she was pronounced dead. She was not wearing a seat belt.
Troopers from the Toledo post said Ms. McCarty was traveling northbound at 2:40 a.m. on Stickney Avenue near Strotz Drive when she lost control of her vehicle while crossing railroad tracks. The car went off the west side of the roadway, struck the curb and guardrail, and then overturned into a ravine. Ms. McCarty was ejected from the vehicle. Authorities said the accident is being investigated.
