Boy, 11, dies after ATV he was riding hits pole

WEST UNITY, Ohio An 11-year-old boy died yesterday after he lost control of an all-terrain vehicle he was operating and crashed into a utility pole off Williams County Road K, east of Williams County Road 19.50 in Brady Township, the sheriff s office said.

Blake Wyse, of West Unity, was taken to Community Hospitals of Williams County, Bryan, where he died, deputies said.

Young Wyse was driving the three-wheeler east on Road K about 4 p.m. when he attempted to cross a ditch to enter a farm field, lost control of the vehicle, and hit the utility pole, deputies said.

Young Wyse, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the vehicle.
