Holiday schedule - Veterans Day

Toledo, Maumee, Oregon, Perrysburg, Rossford, and Sylvania city offices will be closed tomorrow in observance of Veterans Day. Northwood and Ottawa Hills administrative offices will be open.

State and federal offices will be closed tomorrow as will Lucas County offices and auto title offices.

A list of select services follows:


Banks, financial institutions, and most banking centers will be closed Saturday.

Fifth Third Bank Mart locations in Kroger stores will be open regular hours on Saturday, and Charter One in-store banking centers will have abbreviated hours that day.

Retail centers and shopping malls will be open regular hours.


Toledo and Lucas County public and parochial schools will be open and classes held tomorrow.

There will be no classes tomorrow at the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University.

Lourdes College and Owens Community College will have regular classes tomorrow. Davis College will be open tomorrow.

Public utilities

Toledo Edison s office and phone service, and Columbia Gas phone center will have regular service tomorrow and Saturday.


The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library and branches will be open regular hours tomorrow and Saturday.

Mail service

There will be regular delivery and mail collection and window service tomorrow, with Express Mail service from 7 am. to 3:30 p.m. However, bulk mail will have abbreviated service tomorrow, from noon to 6 p.m.

On Saturday, there will be no mail delivery, no mail collection, and no window services at the Main Post Office or any of the classified stations or branches. Bulk mail will be closed. Express Mail service will be available from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Bus service

Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority buses will operate on regular schedules tomorrow and Saturday.

Trash pickup

Trash pickup will be on a regular schedule tomorrow for Toledo and outlying areas.


Metered parking in downtown Toledo will be free tomorrow and Saturday.
