MAYBEE, Mich. - A 17-year-old Dundee, Mich., girl was in critical condition last night in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, where she was flown yesterday afternoon after losing control of the car she was driving in Monroe County's Raisinville Township, authorities said.

Chelsea R. Flower was driving east on Blue Bush Road, east of Sheick Road, when she lost control of the car going into a curve and crossed the centerline.

Her car struck a westbound vehicle driven by Heather D. Liedel, 18, of Maybee, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

Ms. Liedel was treated at Mercy Memorial Hospital, Monroe. Her front-seat passenger, Vicki L. Liedel, 50, also of Maybee, was in stable condition last night in Mercy Memorial.

The crash, which happened southeast of Maybee, remained under investigation by the sheriff's office.
