Carey woman hit by train in Fostoria

FOSTORIA - Fostoria police reported yesterday that a Carey, Ohio, woman was hurt Sunday when she was struck by a CSX train at the South Poplar Street crossing.

Jill Tetrault, 39, was treated at Fostoria Community Hospital.

She told officers she was standing beside the tracks, waiting for a westbound train to pass on the far set of tracks, but failed to see an eastbound train approaching on the tracks closer to her.

The train knocked her to the ground, breaking an arm.
