Presidents' Day holiday closings

Most city, state, and federal offices will be closed today in observance of Presidents Day. Lucas County offices and auto title offices also will be closed.

Maumee, Rossford, and Oregon city offices will be open, but Maumee and Oregon municipal courts will be closed.

A list of select services today follows:


Banks, financial institutions, and banking centers will be closed, except for Fifth Third Bank Mart locations in Kroger stores and Sky Bank, which will be open.

Shopping centers and malls will be open regular hours.


Public and parochial elementary and high schools will be closed.

Area colleges and universities will be open and classes held, except for Davis College, where administrative offices will be open but there will be no classes.

Public utilities

Toledo Edison offices and phone service and Columbia Gas phone center will have regular hours.


The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library and branches will be open regular hours.

Mail service

There will be regular mail collection, but no mail delivery and no window services at the Main Post Office or any of the classified stations or branches. Express Mail service will be available from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Bulk Mail Acceptance Unit will be open from noon to 6 p.m. Customers must have money on deposit for bulk mail service.

Bus service

Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority buses will operate on a regular schedule.

Trash pickup

Trash pickup will be on a regular schedule in Toledo and most outlying areas. Ottawa Hills will have Monday-Tuesday garbage pickup delayed to Tuesday-Wednesday.


Meter parking in downtown Toledo will be free.
