Saigon Bistro, 4102 Airport, inspected Jan. 16. Critical violations: Observed improper thawing of beef in three-bay sink at time of inspection. Beef was thawing in third basin which is air gapped but meat was not under cold running water. Beef moved to refrigerator. The dishmachine was not dispensing chlorine at time of inspection. Epiphany Lutheran Church, 915 North Reynolds, inspected Jan. 16. Critical violation: The dishmachine was not dispensing chlorine at time of inspection. Call service and use the three-compartment sink and quat sanitizer to wash and sanitize dishware. Inspector: Wilke.

Original Pancake House, 3310 West Central, inspected Jan. 16. Critical violations: Observed mushroom gravy reheating in the steam table. Food items must be reheated to at least 165 degrees on a direct heat source before being held hot in the steam table. Observed raw sausage stored above cheese and diced tomatoes in the prep top cooler. Raw meats must always be stored below RTE food to prevent cross contamination. Wipe cloth buckets with sanitizer must be set up in each food prep area for sanitizing surfaces throughout the day. Wet wipe cloths must be stored in sanitizer when not in use. Baskin Robbins, 4015 Secor, inspected Jan. 16. Critical violation: Frozen yogurt mix is at 46 degrees in the soft serve machine at time of inspection. PHF must be held cold at 45 degrees or less at all times. Adjust or repair the machine. Two noncritical violations. Inspector: Sattler.

UT Savage Hall, 2801 West Bancroft, inspected Jan. 13. Critical violation: Hot dogs in cooler at 41 to 43 degrees. To prevent the growth of bacteria provide and maintain PHF at 41 degrees or less. One noncritical violation. Inspector: Heiser.

Comis Nite Club, 1527 East Broadway, inspected Jan. 12. Critical violation: No prep sink available. Whole lettuce observed. Provide an air gap on the the sanitizer side of the three compartment sink. A licensed plumber must do the work. Contact city of Toledo building inspection to see if permit is needed. Use prewashed , precut product until air gap is installed. Repeat violation. Three noncritical violations. Inspector: Gottschalk.

Beaner s Gourmet Coffee, 2142 North Cove, inspected Jan. 12. Critical violation: Sanitizer was not detected in wipe cloth bucket at time of inspection. Chlorine sanitizer must be kept at a concentration of 50-1100 ppm in wipe cloth buckets. Change water as often as needed to maintain the proper concentration. Two noncritical violations. Inspector: Sattler.

Toledo Speedway, 5639 Benore, inspected Jan. 12. Critical violations: Observed employee eating in kitchen at time of inspection. Eating in kitchen is not allowed. Food contact and food must be protected from contamination. Eat only in dining area or designated area away from food and food contact items. Observed employee eat, put on gloves, put on hat without washing hands. Employees must wash hands after eating, before putting on gloves, and after putting on hair restrain. Increase handwashing practices. Hands must be washed in between tasks glove changes, after using restroom or touching hair, body, or clothing. Observed soup reheating in warmer. Reheating must be done rapidly with a maximum of two hours to reach 165 degrees over direct heat. Soup must be reheated on stove or in microwave. Observed improper cooling of chili. Cooling must be done rapidly to limit bacteria growth. Food discarded. Observed bottle of lighter fluid above beverages in back area. Store all chemicals below or away from all food and food contact items to prevent chemical contamination. Corrected at time of inspection. Observed uncovered trash receptacle in women s restroom. All restrooms used by females must have a covered trash receptacle. Six noncritical violations. Inspector: Cutcher.

Secor Lanes, 5520 Secor, inspected Jan. 12. Critical violation: Hand washing must be done in the hand sink only and for 20 seconds using soap and not the use of cloth towel. Five noncritical violations. Inspector: Steve Perrine.

HMS Host Fallen Timbers, 2400 Scott, Swanton Township, inspected Jan. 8. Critical violation: PHF found being held at room temperature--20 pizzas at 50 degrees, 1 pan pepperoni at 53 degrees, pan sausage pizza at 63 degrees were discarded. Bayview Park Amvets Post 222, 4133 North Summit, inspected Jan. 19. Critical violations: Stock handsink at bar with handsoap. All handskinks must be stocked with soap and paper towels at all times for handwashing. Provide a sanitizer bucket for use with wiping cloths. Quat sanitizer should be at 200 ppm, change as needed. Observed home-style deep fryer in kitchen. The fryer is not approved and the hood system is not up to code according to the fire inspection. Facility is not allowed to cook, only use of the pizza oven is permitted. Remove fryer at once. Seven noncritical violations. Inspector: Gottschalk.

Old Road House Inn, 224 South Erie, inspected jan. 19. Critical violation: Lunch meat on prep top cooler at 48 degrees. To protect food from bacteria growth, temperature of food must be held cold at 41 degrees or lower. Six noncritical violations. Inspector: Ivans.

The Library Cafe by Eddy B s, 325 Michigan, inspected Jan. 19. Critical violations: Employee observed putting on gloves before washing hands. To avoid contamination, employees must wash hands before putting on gloves. The person-in-charge at time of inspection was not familiar with safe food handling procedures. The person-in-charge must demonstrate knowledge in safe food handlings. Provide more training or do not leave this person in charge. Improper reheating of food was observed at time of inspection. Cheese was improperly on top of prep top. PHF must be kept in pans that are seated in the prep top cooler. No sanitizer was detected in three-compartment sink. Keep sanitizer at proper levels, use test kit to ensure proper levels. One noncritical violation. Inspector: Ivans.

Little El Camino Real, 2022 Woodville, Oregon, inspected Jan. 18. Critical violations: Observed improper cooling of beans. Observed improper storage of food in cooler. No datemarking observed on several items. Five noncritical violations. Inspector: Nye.

San Francisco Oven, 6975 West Central, Sylvania Township, inspected Jan. 19. Critical violations: Observed eggs stored improperly, store eggs on bottom shelf to avoid cross contamination. Observed improper thawing of soup. Observed chicken breast held in prep top at 62-48 degrees. Do not place warm foods in a pan with cold foods. Observed parmesan cheese and white sauce held in ice bath 58-55 degrees. Product in ice bath must be submerged to level of food in the pan. White sauce discarded. Seven noncritical violations.
