The United Way of Greater Toledo has announced the creation of its Center for Innovation and development of its Youth United Way initiative.
Scheduled to open before the end of this year, the Center for Innovation will offer one-on-one mentoring to nonprofit organizations.
The Youth United Way initiative will give junior high, high school, and college students an opportunity to create neighborhood volunteer projects.
The announcement was made this week by Bill Kitson, president and chief executive officer of the United Way of Greater Toledo, during the organization's annual meeting.
The agency serves Lucas, Ottawa, and Wood counties.
