Delaware woman dies in I-75 crash

CYGNET, Ohio A Delaware, Ohio, woman was killed yesterday after she lost control of her sport utility vehicle, which overturned several times on I-75 just north of Cygnet, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Carol J. Bird, 22, was pronounced dead at the crash, which slowed traffic in both directions for several hours.

Ms. Bird was northbound on I-75 in southern Wood County about 7:30 a.m. when her SUV veered out of control.

She then overcorrected, and the SUV traveled through the median, rolling over several times.

Her vehicle came to rest in the passing lane of southbound I-75, according to troopers at the patrol s Walbridge post.

She was wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
