Ex-UT trustee is named Lott Industries president

Joan Uhl Browne, a former chairman of the University of Toledo board of trustees, has been named president of Lott Industries Inc.

She will oversee Lott, a not-for-profit corporation that is a component of the Lucas County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities.

Lott employs people with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. Area businesses typically contract with Lott to provide light assembly, packaging, sorting, labeling, document destruction, and document scanning.

Ms. Browne was a UT trustee from 1996 to 2005. She is a member of the UT Foundation and the Toledo Zoo boards.
