Motorcyclist killed in Frenchtown Township


MONROE A 41-year-old Dearborn, Mich. man was killed early this morning when the Harley Davidson motorcycle he was driving went off Grafton Road, at North Stony Creek Road in Frenchtown Township, and struck a ditch, according to the Monroe County Sheriff s office.

Scott A. Nalepa, who was wearing a helmet, fell off his motorcycle after striking the ditch about 1:30 a.m. He came to rest in a field on the south side of Grafton, deputies said.

Monroe Community Ambulance transported him to Mercy Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Deputies said it is not yet known whether alcohol was a factor in the accident.
