Lenawee foundation gets $94,250 for job training

ADRIAN The Lenawee Chamber Foundation will receive a $94,250 grant to train 145 employees of Wacker Chemical Corp. in automotive and manufacturing skills.

State Rep. Dudley Spade (D., Tipton) announced that the Michigan Economic Development Corp. had awarded the Economic Development Job Training grant to the county foundation.

The foundation must provide 20 percent matching funds, or $18,850.

The $113,100 will help train 95 employees and 50 new hires at Wacker Chemical in Adrian.
