Tiffin woman, 53, dies after cycle accident

A 53-year-old Tiffin woman died Monday in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center from injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash Friday south of Tiffin.

Janet A. Reiter died of multiple head and chest injuries and complications that developed from extensive blood loss, Dr. Diane Barnett, a Lucas County deputy coroner, said after conducting an autopsy yesterday.

Mrs. Reiter's husband, Michael, who was driving the motorcycle on which they were riding, was pronounced dead shortly after the crash on State Rt. 53, south of Seneca County Road 14 in Seneca Township.

Three other people were hurt in the chain-reaction crash involving a tractor-trailer, van, and car as well as the motorcycle, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
