People 65 years and older and people with disabilities will be allowed to ride public transit in the Toledo area for free today in conjunction with the third annual Disability Awareness Day exposition, the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority announced.
Fares for eligible passengers will be waived on TARTA buses, including Call-A-Ride service, and Toledo Area Regional Paratransit Service vehicles that provide specialized service for riders unable to use conventional transit service.
The exposition will be from noon to 6 p.m. in the Civic Center Promenade at the Erie Street Market, 237 South Erie St.
