Sandusky teen hurt critically in 2-vehicle crash

SANDUSKY - A Sandusky teenager was in critical condition last night in a Toledo hospital, a day after her car and a sport utility vehicle collided on State Rt. 101, near State Rt. 2 in Erie County's Margaretta Township, authorities said.

Kayla Cyr, 16, was taken by medical helicopter to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.

Miss Cyr was southbound on Route 101 about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when she tried to turn left onto Route 2. Her car was struck almost head on by the sport utility vehicle driven northbound on Route 101 by Judy Finley, 62, of Castalia, Ohio, troopers at the patrol's Sandusky post said.

Ms. Finley was treated at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky.
