The board of the United Way of Greater Toledo has elected Bob LaClair, president and chief executive officer of Fifth Third Bank (Northwestern Ohio), as its chairman during its recent annual meeting.
Mr. LaClair, a board member since 2003 and chairman of the United Way s 2007 fund-raising campaign, succeeds Alison Falls.
The board elected seven new board members. They are:
Kattie Bond, director of Toledo s Department of Neighborhoods.
Cynthia Dana, vice president of the United Way Community Impact Cabinet.
Bob Helmer, president and chief executive officer of Lourdes College.
Steve Malia, a senior vice president of Owens-Illinois Inc.
Jani Miller, president and chief executive officer of Central Travel.
Larry Friedman, president of Toledo Building Services.
Steve Krull, general counsel and a senior vice president of Owens Corning.
