MILAN, Ohio A Norwalk, Ohio, man was killed when the motorcycle he was operating hit a tree early Wednesday off Milliman Road just south of State Rt. 113 east of this Erie County community, authorities said.
Alexander Leimbach, 21, the driver of the motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
Mr. Leimbach was northbound on Milliman about 4:10 a.m. when the motorcycle drove left of center in a right-hand curve, troopers at the patrol s Sandusky post said.
The motorcycle then went off the west side of the road and struck a tree, at which time Mr. Leimbach, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from the vehicle, troopers said.
The cause of the accident remained under investigation.
Milan is about 60 miles southeast of Toledo.
