Two teenage girls were rescued from the Maumee River near International Park in downtown Toledo yesterday after they flipped their boat during rowing practice, Jim Skelding, Toledo Rowing Club president, said.
The unidentified girls, students at Anthony Wayne High School, were pulled to safety about 11:20 a.m. by their assistant rowing coach, who was following in a power boat. They were not hurt, Mr. Skelding said.
