Phelps named hockey coach at Adrian

Dan Phelps has been named the new hockey coach at Adrian College.

At Novi (Mich.) High School, his teams won three conference and five regional titles, twice appearing in the state semifinals.

He most recently served as assistant coach and program administrator for the

Victory Honda Midget Major Hockey Club and was also coach and general manager

for the Michigan Ice Dogs Junior A Hockey Club since 2006.

He replaces Mike Buchan who led Adrian to a 17-21 record in the team s inaugural

season.
