Authorities Monday identified the man killed the night before when his motorcycle and a train collided at the Nebraska Avenue grade crossing between Brown and Montrose avenues in central Toledo.

Killed was Nathaniel White, 66, of Deerwood Lane in South Toledo, according to the Lucas County Coroner s Office, where his autopsy was pending.

The White motorcycle was westbound on Nebraska just west of Brown about 6:30 p.m. when it crashed through the crossing gate and then struck the caboose of a southbound Norfolk Southern freight train, police said.
