HURON, Ohio Two Lakewood, Ohio, residents was hurt Sunday night, one of them seriously, when a sport-utility vehicle crashed on State Rt. 2 just east of the Huron River Bridge, closing the route s westbound lanes for 1.5 hours, authorities said.

Aimee Patek, 33, a passenger in the SUV, was flown to St. Vincent s Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, with incapacitating injuries, troopers at the Ohio Highway Patrol s Sandusky post said. A hospital spokesman said Monday she had no information about a person by that name.

Also hurt was the driver, Adam Patek, also 33, troopers said. Mr. Patek was treated at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, according to a hospital spokesman.

The crash occurred about 7 p.m. in Erie County s Huron Township.

The 1999 Ford Explorer was eastbound on Route 2 when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to slide across the median into the westbound lanes, where it overturned.

The westbound traffic on Route 2 was diverted to Berlin Road. Traffic on the state route returned to normal about 8:30 p.m., troopers said.

Huron is about 60 miles southeast of Toledo.
