Bowling Green shelter looking for volunteers

BOWLING GREEN The Cocoon Shelter is seeking volunteers who are interested in helping domestic violence victims.

Volunteer advocates must complete an application and interview process as well as a 50-hour training class that prepares them to provide crisis intervention and conduct admission interviews.

The next training session begins Sept. 8 and continues through December.

Deadline for applications is Aug. 16.
