Woman killed in Sylvania Township crash on I-475/U.S. 23

A woman was killed early Wednesday when the car she was driving and a tractor-trailer rig collided on northbound I-475/U.S. 23 in Sylvania Township, authorities said.

The woman, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers at the Ohio Highway Patrol s Toledo post said.

The crash occurred about 10:45 a.m. near the I-475 - U.S. 23 split, closing the left lane of northbound I-475/U.S. 23 until further notice, troopers said.

The driver of the semi was not hurt in the crash, they said.

The lane was reopened at 1:40 p.m., according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
