Woman, 70, from Genoa is killed in crash into rig

WOODVILLE, Ohio A 70-year-old woman was killed yesterday after she failed to stop at a stop sign on State Rt. 51 at U.S. 20 and her car was struck by a tractor-trailer carrying asphalt east of this community, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Karen J. Church of Genoa was pronounced dead on the scene, troopers at the patrol s Fremont post said.

Ms. Church was southbound on Route 51 in Sandusky County s Woodville Township about 10:30 a.m. when she was struck by the tractor-trailer driven westbound on U.S. 20 by Patrick A. Brown, 50, of Norwalk, Ohio, troopers said.
