Carey woman hurt as car hits building

FINDLAY A Carey, Ohio, woman was hurt yesterday when her car crashed into a block building owned by the city of Findlay along State Rt. 568, east of State Rt. 330 in Biglick Township, the Hancock County Sheriff s Office said.

Betty Overbee, 73, was treated at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

Ms. Overbee was westbound on Route 568 about 10:45 a.m. when she went off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and came back onto the road. She then went off the left side of the road and struck the city-owned building that was once used for water supply, deputies said.

Ms. Overbee was cited for failing to control her vehicle, deputies said.
