NEW YORK - Toledo native Katie Holmes made her Broadway debut in "All My Sons" last night, and her husband Tom Cruise thought it was a knockout.
When asked for his verdict on Holmes' performance, Cruise said it was "extraordinary."
Hundreds of people bought tickets to see Holmes act on Broadway for the first time, in a preview performance for the revival of the play by Arthur Miller. It co-stars John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest and Patrick Wilson.
The official opening is October 16th.
Cruise took his seat moments before the curtain went up. The actor is Hollywood's most famous Scientologist, and his presence drew a demonstration by anti-Scientology protesters outside the theater.
