The Ohio Lake Erie Commission is holding a Life on Lake Erie contest to give amateur photographers a chance to have their images displayed in a traveling exhibit and online.
Photographers aged 18 and older can submit photographs taken in and around the Lake Erie watershed between July 9, 2008, and July 12, 2009.
All submissions become commission property, and winning photos will be featured on its Web site, be part of its traveling photo gallery, and may be used in promotional pieces.
Submissions must be original work, and they can portray sustainable use, development, or protection of Ohio s Lake Erie coastal resources.
Photos can incorporate shoreline landscapes, wildlife, plants, or people enjoying coastal activities.
Submissions of 5-inch by 7-inch prints can be mailed through July 16 to Ohio Lake Erie Commission, One Maritime Plaza, fourth floor, Toledo, Ohio 43604. Completed entry forms are available at lakeerie.ohio.gov and must accompany submissions.
Individuals can win up to two times, and no more than five entries will be accepted from one household. No digitally altered shots will be accepted.
