Mike Blazevich completed 6 of 12 passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns as Cardinal Stritch defeated Ottawa Hills 35-23 Saturday night at Clay.
Michael Geiger's 25-yard field goal for Ottawa Hills opened the scoring.
Stritch scored three TDs in the second quarter. Timmy Langlois scored on runs of 4 and 14 yards. Blazevich hit Nick Fuller for a 65-yard score.
Ottawa Hills had a 10-yard TD run by Taylor Savage with five seconds left.
Ottawa Hills scored first in the second half on a Savage two-yard run.
Stritch's Nick Fuller, who had 204 yards rushing, responded with a seven-yard TD run. Blazevich hit Langlois for a 27-yard TD pass.
OH's J.J. Buckey, who threw for 136 yards, hit Savage for a 17-yard strike.
Savage rushed 17 times for 99 yards.
Waite 13, Clay 0
Visiting Waite got touchdowns from junior Kevin Carter and sophomore Johnny Douanglee, plus a strong effort from its defense Friday in blanking Clay 13-0 in a City League battle for the Oil Barrel Trophy.
Carter (17 rushes, 90 yards) scored on a seven-yard pass from Douanglee in the second quarter, and Douanglee (17 rushes, 84 yards) added a 65-yard TD run in the third quarter for the Indians (1-3, 1-0 CL).
It was the first win in the series for Waite over the Eagles (2-2, 0-1) since 2005.
