CHICAGO — The Michigan basketball team fell 68-59 to Wisconsin today in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament at the United Center.

After leading 20-17 at halftime, the Wolverines unraveled while the Badgers suddenly couldn't miss. A Wisconsin team that made 5 of 29 shots in the first half hit 15 of its first 22 in the second to build a 56-45 lead. Michigan cut its deficit to 2 points on a reverse layup by Trey Burke with 3:35 left before UW pulled away.

The Badgers advance to play top-seeded Indiana in Saturday's semifinal.

Burke led Michigan (25-7), which is 6-6 in its last 12 games, with 19 points. Traevon Jackson scored 16 points to lead Wisconsin.
