Hearing set for 1 in bat, sword attack

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for a 22-year-old man charged along with a 15-year-old boy for allegedly attacking a man with a baseball bat and a sword.

Christopher Blueitt, 22, of 1675 Avondale Ave., appeared with his attorney Jeffrey Mondville in Toledo Municipal Court yesterday. Judge Arlene Singer scheduled his hearing for June 12 at 9 a.m.

Mr. Blueitt remains free on a $20,000 surety bond set Friday by Judge Francis X. Gorman.

Police arrested Mr. Blueitt and the boy. Mr. Blueitt is charged with felonious assault, and the boy is charged with delinquency in connection with complicity to felonious assault.
