DEFIANCE - A Toledo man will be sentenced on Aug. 14 for his role in a regional drug ring that was broken in late December after a year-long investigation.
Jose Campos, 25, pleaded guilty last week to trafficking in cocaine, a third-degree felony.
According to county Prosecutor Jeff Strausbaugh, Campos and his mother, Margaret Gonzales of Toledo, acted as drug couriers between Defiance and Toledo.
Gonzales will be sentenced on July 10 on the same charge.
Pedro Arce, Jr., of Defiance will be sentenced on Aug. 28 for his role in the case, while three other men, Victor Gomez, Jr., of Defiance, Jay Ridgway of Continental, and Greg Sherry of Melrose, Ohio, are awaiting trial.
