Federal authorities have filed three counts of bank robbery against Vaughn King, 44, of 833 George St.
He was arrested May 16 following a foot chase that began after the National City Bank branch, 2430 Cherry St., was robbed of $1,500.
He also is charged with the robbery earlier that day of a Key Bank branch, 3031 Collingwood Blvd., that netted about $850.
Mr. King allegedly robbed the Fifth Third Bank branch, 1910 Collingwood, of about $1,540 May 10.
The case is assigned to U.S. District Judge James Barr, but no court appearance is scheduled. Conviction on each charge carries a maximum penalty of a $250,000 fine and 20 years in prison.
