Toledo's Libbey, Inc., reported second-quarter profits yesterday of $14.1 million, or 91 cents a share, down 1 percent from $14.3 million, or 92 cents a share, for the same period a year ago.
The tableware company said it had sales for the quarter ending June 30 of $108.1 million, down nearly 5 percent from $113.3 million for the period a year ago.
The Andersons, Inc., reported second-quarter profits yesterday of $7.3 million, or 99 cents a share, up 8 percent from the $6.7 million, or 89 cents a share, for the same period a year ago.
The wholesale grain and general store company based in Maumee said it had sales for the quarter ending June 30 of $275.2 million, up nearly 5 percent from $263.1 million for the period a year ago.
