Juvenile curfew sweep by city police collars 20

Toledo police eventually arrested 20 juveniles for curfew violations in a sweep extending from 10 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. yesterday.

Seventeen were released to their parents and three were booked into the Child Study Institute.

The curfew, adopted in 1992, prohibits children younger than 11 from going out in public from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Those aged 11 to 15 cannot go outside from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Curfew for 16 and 17-year-olds is from midnight to 5 a.m.
