Adrian man sentenced in parking lot robbery

ADRIAN - Kenneth Nolan, 21, was sentenced in Lenawee County Circuit Court to 11 months to four years in prison for unarmed robbery, larceny in a building for an unrelated offense, and a prior felony conviction.

Nolan, of Adrian, and Lucan Jay Woodruff, 22, of Sand Creek are accused of approaching a woman in the Country Market parking lot on Nov. 27 and taking her purse at gunpoint.

The purse and its contents were recovered. The woman wasn't hurt.

Mr. Woodruff will stand trial March 6. Nolan also faces charges of assaulting another inmate at the Lenawee County Jail.
