Mayor Jack Ford yesterday named 28 people to the Toledo Labor-Management-Citizens Committee, resuming voluntary boards and commission appointments that Toledo City Council stopped accepting from former Mayor Carty Finkbeiner.
Mr. Ford added two names to those sought by Mr. Finkbeiner: Francine Lawrence, president of the Toledo Federation of Teachers, and Bill Lichtenwald, president of Teamsters Union Local 20.
The appointments were the first to boards and commissions since November, when council refused to approve a large number of appointments sought by Mr. Finkbeiner.
