FINDLAY - A Kentucky woman has been indicted on a charge that alleges she tried to kill her husband in his Fostoria home last week.

Melinda McCary, 39, of Bowling Green, Ky., was charged Tuesday with attempted aggravated murder by a Hancock County grand jury. According to Fostoria police, Mrs. McCary fired a handgun at her husband, Charles McCary, several times during a visit Dec. 29. Mr. McCary was not injured.

Mrs. McCary was arrested after the couple's two children dialed 911 and told police their mother was shooting at their father. Mrs. McCary is being held in the county jail. If convicted, she could be sentenced to 10 years in prison, plus three years for using a firearm during a crime.
