PORT CLINTON — An Indiana man was indicted yesterday in connection with the theft of a car that was found Christmas Eve in Ottawa County.

Willie L. Brown, Jr., 18, of Indianapolis, was charged with receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony. According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department, Mr. Brown and a 16-year-old boy from Indianapolis were found at a Carroll Township residence where the car was parked. The car had been reported stolen from Indianapolis earlier in the day.

Mr. Brown also is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. The boy was found guilty of possession of drug paraphernalia and sent back to Indiana to face a motor-vehicle theft charge in that state.
