Ottawa County indicts 4 men in beating case

PORT CLINTON — Four men have been indicted in connection with the beating of a man at a Port Clinton apartment building last month.

Joshua J. Crawford, 27, of Port Clinton, Joshua D. Frantz, 23, and Ernesto Chavez, 22, both of Fremont, and Eric S. Twining, whose address is unknown, are charged with one count each of felonious assault. Mr. Frantz also is charged with failure to comply with a peace officer.

Police said the four men beat and severely injured a man at the Lakeview Estates apartment complex March 21.
