Block Watch picnic set for Ottawa Park

Toledo residents are invited to attend the 13th annual Toledo Neighborhood Block Watch family picnic tomorrow, which will celebrate 21 years of fighting crime and building safer neighborhoods.

The picnic will be held at Ottawa Park, 2201 Kenwood Blvd., at the Liz Pierson shelter house from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It will feature the Toledo police honor guard, entertainment, free food and drinks, games, and speeches by various city and Lucas County officials.

The theme for the free gathering is “Strength through unity, commitment to partnership.” Shuttle parking will be provided.
