Vandalism blamed as 3,400 lose power
About 3,400 Toledo Edison customers in an area roughly bounded by Cherry Street, Detroit Avenue, and Central Avenue lost power for about 30 minutes yesterday, a utility spokesman said.
Power was restored about 5:25 p.m. after a repair crew traced the outage to possible vandalism of a piece of Edison equipment, the spokesman said.
