Manor Care Inc. yesterday reported profit of $39.1 million, or 45 cents a share, in the third quarter, up 26 percent from $31 million, or 35 cents a share in the same quarter a year ago. The results were in line with analysts' expectations.
The Toledo firm, the nation's largest nursing-home operator, said its revenues for the quarter were $807 million, up 6 percent from $761 million. The company also declared a quarterly cash dividend of 14 cents a share, payable Nov. 22 to holders of record Nov. 8.
