The trial of a Toledo man accused of molesting a young boy began yesterday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.
Rondle Carroll, 72, of 5867 Live Oak Drive, is charged with three counts of rape and four counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
The victim, now 17, told the jury Mr. Carroll began sexually molesting him when he was 10 years old, and that the abuse continued until 2003.
The trial was to continue today with Mr. Carroll s attorney expected to cross-examine the victim. Judge Denise Ann Dartt is presiding over the trial.
A jury last year acquitted Mr. Carroll of three counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles. He was accused of showing pornographic videos to three boys, ages 12, 13, and 14, in his home in April, 2004.
